Today is The Day for the Olympics to start and we are here to highlight how far “A wisp for Tibet” arrived till now and also our wish to go on with this symbolic initiative.
Actually we have:

  • 226 videos uploaded on Youtube. The people who joined us are a mix of common people, celebrities, journalists and sportive people. Athletes are really important for us because they symbolize exactly our spirit of not boycotting the Olympics but anyway show our charity to Tibetan people
  • 922 members on Facebook Group
  • a lot of buzz on websites, blogs, press and radio shows

Keep on joining us and spread the buzz while enjoying the Olympics in the true spirit of A wisp for Tibet

Tomorrow the 2008 Olympic Games are going to start in China and our initiative is growing both in terms of people joining and pr on press and websites. Our goal is to go on also during the Olympics to underline our peaceful way of thinking and acting which means not to boycott but to show charity and closeness to the Tibetan people.

A big group of tv and press journalists joined “a wisp for Tibet” before flying to China for the Olimpics. Directly inside the Fiumicino airport they cut their wisps to be part of our initiative. Watch on Youtube their videos 209-217 and 227-228 They represent the right spirit we want to spread not to boycott the Olympics but show charity and closeness to the Tibetan people in a peaceful way.

On 9th July Spot and Web – a specialized communication magazine – was one of the first media speaking about us not only for the charity focus of the initiative but also for the creative idea and usage of media. On 22nd July they have dedicated to us another article to update readers on the project and underline how the project is growing both in terms of Pr and participation.

The Olimpics are becoming closer but “A wisp for” is still going on. Now we have 197 videos uploaded on Youtube with 1511 Video watched and 2354 Channel views.  At the same time the initiatuive is onair also with Promocard inside pubs and nightclubs of the major Italian cities.

Gazzetta Dello Sport, known as “the pink one” is the most important newspaper in Italy about sport. They have published an article on their website about “a wisp for” telling the details of the campaign and focusing on the support that Antonio Rossi gave to us. Now that the lights of sport world are more and more on us we hope that the campaign will become bigger reaching its goal to have athletes support before they go to Bejing.
